We held our first auction in April of 2018 and since then have grown into one of the premier online auction companies in southwestern South Dakota. Originally based in Newcastle Wyoming, in 2024 we moved our operation to a location near Hermosa South Dakota. Just 16 miles south of Rapid City South Dakota. Here we have two large building that allow us to have plenty of room to sort and set up the largest of auctions.

Matt and his wife Dawn are the owners of Matt Ramsey Auctions and do most of the work. A small staff of part-time workers help when and where needed to assist in getting the auctions to the public. Matt and Dawn have a long history of serving the public and have brought their outstanding customer service to the auction industry.

Simple things like extended pick up times and assistance in loading items have helped them become successful. They also strive to provide proper descriptions and pictures of items so customers can make informed decisions when bidding.

The online program that Matt Ramsey Auctions runs on is one of the best offered (HiBid). This system in nationwide and actually has overseas locations, so it is very helpful in getting your items exposed to buyers everywhere.
